With over 15 years of investment management and financial planning experience, Keith’s responsibilities range from building customized investment portfolios to implementing sophisticated financial planning strategies for medical professionals, attorneys and professional athletes. GRID 202 Partners has developed an expertise in identifying private market investments that deliver attractive financial returns while achieving positive social impact. 

A Washington, D.C. native, he is one of less than 10 African American advisors in the United States who holds both the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM (CFP®) and Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA) designations.

Passionate about financial education — particularly in lower-income communities — Keith taught financial literacy for several semesters at the Washington Jesuit Academy near the neighborhood where he grew up. Additionally, he has delivered numerous seminars and workshops to groups ranging from medical students to retirees. Most recently, he founded moXY Financial, a consortium of multi-credentialed advisors committed to financial education and developing the next generation of diverse talent. 

Keith graduated from Carnegie Mellon's Tepper School of Business with honors and obtained his M.B.A. from UNC’s Kenan-Flagler Business School, where he was a Dean's Fellow. He also sits on the board of North Carolina A&T’s Department of Family and Consumer Services, one of four CFP® Board-registered programs at an HBCU.

Growing up in Jamaica, Janine Scott always had a commitment to teaching and serving others. During her senior year at the University of Texas at Austin, she enrolled in an elective course that forever changed the direction of her career. During that class, she discovered her true passion: financial planning.

Janine combines her strong technical background with expert financial advice. She believes money is intertwined in every facet of our lives. Although it’s a sensitive topic for many, she does her best to help clients understand the importance of planning ahead before certain issues become overwhelmingly complicated.

She obtained her bachelor’s degree in finance from The University of Texas at Austin and her doctoral degree in financial planning from Texas Tech University. She is currently the only African American woman in the United States who is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM (CFP®) and has a Ph.D. in financial planning.

Brian works with GRID clients to address the four phases of their financial lives: creating and growing wealth, preserving and protecting wealth, planning for distributions during their lifetime and planning for distributions at their death in the most tax-efficient manner. He specializes in retirement planning, risk management, investment strategies and estate planning.

In 2004, Brian began his career as an investment analyst at Merrill Lynch Investment Management (now Blackrock). After building an investment strategy and due diligence foundation, Brian moved to the Merrill Lynch Private Banking & Investment Group, where he developed comprehensive financial plans for ultra-high-net-worth families in collaboration with portfolio managers, accountants and estate planning attorneys. Later, as a portfolio manager for U.S. Trust, Brian managed more than $400 million in investment assets for high-net-worth clients.

Brian is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM and received an undergraduate business degree from Carnegie Mellon University’s Tepper School of Business, graduating with honors. He earned his M.B.A. in finance from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School, where he attained a full-tuition merit scholarship as a Woodruff Fellow.

Ephraim Egbele has been a Certified Public Accountant since 2012. He manages tax planning and preparation for GRID clients. He was previously an audit associate at Pricewaterhouse Coopers, where he worked on financial audit engagements of large Fortune 100 companies. Since 2009, he has dedicated his career to helping small business owners strategize on how they can maximize their profits while lowering their tax liabilities. Ephraim has helped hundreds of entrepreneurs improve their business finances, which in turn has helped them grow their businesses.

Ephraim holds a B.B.A. in accounting from the University of Houston. He is a Gold level Xero Certified Advisor and a proud member of the National Association of Black Accountants (NABA) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). For fun, he enjoys traveling, dining out and spending time with his wife and twin boys.

Throughout her career, she has served as an expert in financial coaching, literacy and education for communities nationwide. She is particularly passionate about helping women develop a “money mindset” to strategically grow their wealth. 

Dionne graduated summa cum laude from North Carolina A&T State University with a bachelor’s degree in finance. She is an Accredited Financial Counselor and a Ramsey Solutions Master Financial Coach.

Jochebed began her life in finance and entrepreneurship at an early age - putting together the first of many budgets at eight years old after launching a baked treat delivery business out of her Easy Bake Oven. She went on to pursue a liberal arts education at Williams College, where she homed in on the historical drivers of economic disparity through degrees in Economics and History.


Her experiences growing up in three countries as the daughter of Nigerian missionaries inspired in Jochebed a lifelong passion for promoting inclusion and pursuing social equity through finance. Most recently, as a member of the Investment Group at Tiedemann Advisors, where she helped lead Impact Investing and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion strategy while conducting due diligence on investment vehicles in all asset classes. 


At GRID, Jochebed's work remains focused on moving investment strategy, wealth, and financial planning services into underserved communities. Outside of GRID, she is pursuing the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and volunteers on the Alumni Board of QuestBridge, an education non-profit connecting low-income students with opportunities at elite colleges and beyond.

James was born and raised in Washington D.C. He graduated with honors from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, receiving a bachelor’s degree in economics and political science. During his senior year, he began learning everything he could about managing finances in order to have more financial stability than he experienced growing up. He became determined to share this knowledge with others so they could experience the same confidence and freedom of choice that he gained. Before joining the GRID team, James worked for two independent financial planning firms and earned the Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP ®) designation. His areas of focus include cash flow planning, insurance, tax minimization strategies, and small business planning.

James is passionate about helping clients use their money and resources to plan for tomorrow while also living their best lives today. He has conducted financial education seminars for a wide range of audiences, and he helps advisors prepare for the CFP® exam as part of a moXY Financial initiative. He also works with the Association of African American Advisors (AAAA) and his local Financial Planning Association (FPA) chapter on projects aimed at increasing diversity in the industry. In his free time, James enjoys cooking, playing and watching basketball, listening to music, and exploring the outdoors with his wife and puppy.
